I mostly worked with the staff and single saber back in the heyday of JA on Xbox multiplayer. The dual sabers 'work' the same but the desired effect may be different. To break through another staff of dual saber, using a diagonal attack (upleft to bottomright or upright to bottomleft) will chop right through. Equally, you can do this with the top of the diagonal attacks (using the controller that would be switching between upleft and upright).
Left to right, left to right, and you'll chop down any single saber. The horizontal attacks need to go back and forth to be effective. The staff saber's best attacks are when repeated. The staff and dual sabers are a little different. By turning up your sensitivity and using the horizontal attacks, you turn yourself into a spinning top of death. The heavy stance is best for damage, and although slow, can be made very deadly with running, rolling, and jumping. It shares both damage and distance and can be combo'd with the diagonal attacks. Multiplayer though, it's not so much about blocking what they are doing, but executing what you want to do.įor the single saber, the horizontal attacks at the heavy stance is your best bet for damage.
