Click the 'Page Layout' tab on the Ribbon, then click the button labeled 'Breaks.' On the drop-down menu, click 'Continuous.'ġ0. Click at the top of the page you want to color.ĩ. Open the document and scroll to the page that you want to color.Ĩ. On the drop-down menu, click the color you want.ħ. Click the arrow next to the 'Shading' icon on the Ribbon, in the Paragraph group the icon displays a paint can.

Click at the beginning of the page you want to color, hold down the mouse button and drag to the end of the page to select all the text or content on the page.Ħ. If a paragraph is separated by a page break, then move that paragraph onto the next page: Click at the end of the previous paragraph, then click the 'Breaks' button in the Ribbon in the drop-down menu, click 'Page.'Ĥ. Check the end of the page to make sure the last paragraph ends on that page, rather than spilling over onto the next page.
